Though the idea behind a natural, super-concentrated product is one I can stand behind, 4 of the 7 members in our household have had allergic reactions to the Lavender Cedar laundry detergent. I have to admit, I am totally bummed. I hoped this would work well for our family, but that was not the case. We have tried a variety of different ecosafe laundry products without having this issue. I wish I could give the product more than 1 star, just because of the concept, but with 57% of my family reacting, I cannot in good faith give that rating at all.

Great product. I've been a Tide mom for years and with our 3 kids and busy lives, I do a lot of laundry (thank goodness for the front-loader machines). Found this and loved that using so little goes such a long way. I HATE the big jugs. And the scents are so wonderful. I've loved the Peony scent and now I'm using Fresh Air. I recently found the fabric softener too and it is by far the best I have tried. On suggestion for you Method geniuses: we are all active and like the "technical fabrics" that are out these days. Problem is, those fabrics REALLY hold onto our stink!! The only thing I've found that removes it is a product I have to order online. Would be a great idea for Method to create a NO STINK detergent that i could buy in my local Target or supermarket! Think about it!! I know you guys and gals can do it!

but now i'm even MORE in love with lavender cedar...i saw it online for the longest time but just found it available in a store and getting to open and smell it put any fears of it being 'too floral' to rest! in fact my clothing comes out of the dryer smelling as if i just pulled it from a cedar closet or chest, just that hint of warm, woody scent. the lavender keeps it fresh too, so it doesn't have just a flat wood smell, it's more complex, but definitely not too floral! i really hope this scent sticks around for a LONNNG time! if not, let your fans know so we can stock up before it's gone! oh, and of course i always appreciate the cleaning power of METHOD detergent and how little room the bottle takes up...and the pump that makes measuring messiness a thing of the past!!

it did a little too well, as it washed out some tie-dye that I had previously thought was permanant. oh well. still did amazingly well, and it's great for my grandmother, too, who can't lift the jugs most other detergent comes in. I just with the refills were five dollars less!

I bought a container of this in spring daisy the other day and tried it out for the first time last night. I hate overly-perfumey scents, but I keep hoping to find a nice light springtime smell for my laundry. I have finally, finally, found that elusive smell! It cleans super well - I do my wash in the sink or bathtub and within no time my small apartment was lightly scented, especially after I hung everything to dry. It rinses out cleanly from my clothes and kicked all the dirt and stains off of my work jeans.

Thank you, Method!

I was super excited to try your detergent, and I love the concept behind only buying what you really need to do laundry (concentrated detergent) and cutting out the waste created by shipping and packaging water. I love your hand soaps. I love your manifesto. I'm a fan.

My skin though is not a fan of this detergent. I've never had a rash from laundry soap before and was shocked when I connected the dots (figuratively, though I could have literally on my arms, stomach and back) that the appearance of my rash coincided with the first loads of laundry I did with this detergent. I've stopped using it to test my hypothesis, and the rash disappeared. Sadly I'm not going to be able to use this product again.

Has anyone else had this problem? Because it's hypoallergenic and I've never had a reaction to any soap before, I'm really curious what's going on and if I'm the only one.

I love, love, luuuuurve the pump design! It uses so little detergent and cleans just as well as the big name brands. The smell is nice and fresh but not overpowering. The pump design also saves room - which is AWESOME. I'm so sick of those big annoying jugs with the fill line you can't see! Happy day!

[If you want a crazy long review of method's detergent goodness, I posted one at Epinions here: http://www.epinions.com/content_570118999684]

love the detergent, it's easy to use, and you can't use too much. My ten year old daughter, and my dad who hates to do laundry, can do laundry.
My 5-year old daughters are allergic so I liked the fact that its smell is mild. Stains go away and it lasts for months. It's a pity you cannot buy it in other EU countries yet (bought it last year while in US on business).

It cleans great, but even better I can teach my 10 year old twin boys how to help me out with the laundry. They know that 3 pumps and they feel liking they are helping out.
