garlic, meet your match.

while most hand washes just can’t cut it on serious stinkers, like fish, garlic and onion, our odor-eliminating kitchen hand wash knocks out the whole lot of stubborn offenders. your hands are left super soft and lightly scented with a crisp, chef-friendly fragrance. and no one has to know that you caught their dinner with your bare hands. unless you want them to.

    lemongrass

while lemongrass is an essential ingredient in your favorite curry, it is also a close friend of cleanliness. which is why it smells so delightful. in fact, the original iteration of that “cleanliness is next to godliness” line was actually “cleanliness is next to lemongrass-iness.” but it wasn’t as catchy. (at least, that’s what we heard.)

bring back basil

I’m on this site today looking for places to buy basil kitchen hand wash and see it’s discontinued. I want to add my voice to the multitude of people asking for it back – PLEASE. It’s the best ever.

Here's An Idea:

Bring back basil.

Now… I know I’m probably the only one who thinks this. I’m probably the only one who’s bothered to leave a comment, or email method, or generally stalk their Facebook page for any hint that they’re going to bring back the basil kitchen hand soap. That I am alone in this does not deter me from asking method to please bring it back.

When I would use the basil hand wash, I would be instantly transported to a fresh, green world that was filled with culinary promise. It wasn’t rare for me to be washing my hands after putting the meat on the fire and realize I wanted something crisp and herbaceous to have alongside… maybe with some cilantro or something. It was inspiring, it was comforting, it was like having a little garden of fresh herbs right there on my countertop.

Then, after I finally used up the last of the six bottles I ordered about two years ago (fearing this day would come), I discovered method no longer makes it. And I was very sad. I bought a bottle of the lemongrass, but it’s not the same. It’s pungent, where the basil was fresh. It reminds me of the cleaners a janitor used in grade school, where the basil reminded me of my stepmother watering her garden after she got home from work on summer evenings.

I’m afraid I’ll have to buy something far more toxic, then where will the planet be? Those chemicals will sink into the water table and make their way into our food supply! You don’t want that on your conscience, do you method?

Please method. Bring back basil.

Why discontinued?!

Why would you discontinue such a wonderful product!? I loved the scent and feeling of the Basil Kitchen Handwash, it both cleaned perfectly and removed the odor of onion, garlic, meat and other kitchen stuff! I am really disappointed to find out that my most favotite methid product is no longer avaialbale. I introduced it to many friends and family and everybody has been asking me how come they can not find it any more! A Very very unwise decision!!!

Absolutely love this product. It works very well against Garlic, onion and the dreaded Tuna can water.

I have one gripe. Please for the love of everything bring back the basil scent. It was my most favorite scent of any hand wash ever.

Three Wishes

I at first was very sad to see that Basil was discontinued, but i decided to give Lemongrass a go: and so are my three wishes:

1.) Bring back Basil, Although Lemongrass is a great scent.. I miss the Basil… ever so terribly.
2.) Make the Lemongrass scent for other items: Body Wash, All purpose spray, maybe the Hand sanitizer, yes??
3.) Produce refil packages for Kitchen Handwash (For both Basil and Lemongrass.. because a lot of us miss that Basil soap)

*Grovels* Please??

Bring back the Basil

I am so bummed out that this is no longer available. I stocked up on it at the end of the year and now on my last one. I have looked all over and a seller on eBay is getting 18.00 for 1 and 8.00 shipping. That should tell you there is a market for this.

Expand this product line!

I would like ONE fragrance coming from my home, preferably a citrus-fresh, clean smell.

One scent. I hate having multiple scents all competing and clashing with each other, and I’d be willing to bet I’m not the only person who feels that way.

I’d like to be able to buy hand soap, dish soap, all purpose cleaner, laundry det & cond, and floor wash all in one scent, Either the wonderful kitchen lemongrass, the Lime/sea salt, or the Green tea/aloe. PLEASE, offer all products with the same scents. The first company who does this with have my business exclusively.

P S: Thought the “kitchen” pump is a bit larger than the regular hand soap pumps, it in no way makes up for all the repeated hand washing that goes on in the kitchen. I might wash my hands 10 times in the course of preparing a meal. You really need to offer the Lemongrass as a refill.

Obsessed with the basil kitchen handwash

How is it possible for this scent to work so well? It cleans odors off my hands perfectly and works incredibly well. I love it. Would love it more if there were a refill. Also I’m concerned that it isn’t available on drugstore.com – please keep this basil scent permanently!

Such a great smell

It’s already been established that these products wok wonderfully as far as cleaning goes. Do I just want to state for the record that the lemongrass needs to be offered as a refill. it’s a wonderful scent, but I’m not going to buy ANY of these products in their container over and over again, but as good (and clean) smelling as the lemongrass is I do not understand why it isn’t offered as a refill anywhere. Not here, not on soap.com.

What’s up with that?

Method, put out a lemongrass refill! and you might want to stop advertising it as kichen only. It smells great, it smell lemony fresh and clean. Lemony fresh is a GOOD thing. People love it. stop hiding it.

really does what it says

This soap completely eliminates the smell of garlic from my fingertips unlike every other product I have tried before. Please make it in the large refill size so I can create less waste and help support Method’s mission.

Why is there no refill available?

I like the product very much since I am the chef in our household and always keep my hands clean during the cooking process. I just do not understand why you do not offer refills for either Kitchen Hand Wash scent. Why not lower your carbon foot print and start offering it!

Wow

I am in Love with the Basil scent. Kind of hope Method comes out with a kitchen cleaner this scent. It really works! I am an avid garlic user in cooking and it cuts right through the smell, leaving my hands clean and offensive odor free (smile)

I'm a methodist

I keep the lemongrass/citronelle kitchen soap by my kitchen sink and use it constantly throughout the day. It cleans dirt and odors without drying and looks great on the counter top.

Mmmm Lemongrass

Love how well this soap cleanses the hands after handling garlic and onion. I even wash my baby’s hands with this as well. Leaves them squeaky clean and not dry! :)

I love this stuff and would LOVE to see refills for the kitchen hand wash in lemongrass and basil scents, will that ever be available??

maybe it's just me..

I wanted to love the product but the scents (both of them) are overwhelming. The lemongrass is slightly more pleasant but the basil- I would just rather my hands smell like onion. If you like the scents then go for it! It does just what it says it will do.

Yummy and practical

I was SO happy to see that Method now has a kitchen handwash and both of these scents are amazing! I can’t stand having garlic and/or onion scent on my hands for days after cooking and this product takes care of that issue just great!!! Way to go Method!!

lusting the lemongrass

The new lemongrass kitchen hand wash is amazing! Not only does it do exactly what it’s supposed to do (which is remove nasty kitchen odors from your hands!) but the scent is just so luscious, I can’t get enough!
