stainless steel polish

shine on, smudge off

stainless steel: it’s a funny name. would you want to stain it? what if you tried? okay, maybe you shouldn’t try. the great thing about stainless steel is that it doesn’t nick, rust or corrode. but it does get dirty. this non-abrasive formula cleans and polishes stainless steel surfaces without streaking. then, just to be nice, it leaves a protective layer. even steel has a sensitive side.

what's that smell?

apple orchard

this scent may make you think we had the morning dew collected from orchard leaves, but we simply captured the delicate essence of apple blossoms, peach nectar + vanilla orchid in a fragrance. it’s a good thing, too, since none of us were keen to get up early for dew-collecting.

Love it!

This works great! – Read the directions – shake it well before using (which I did NOT do the first time I used it and it streaked) Once I bothered to read the directions, shook it well and buffed afterward, everything in my kitchen shone! Wonderful product!

Not very good

Cleans but leaves streaks. Soap and water works much better at cleaning my stainless steel appliances. Just a couple drops of dishwashing liquid in a pint of water works much better. Then wipe with a damp cloth. I rarely have any streaks this way.

Barely “cleaned” our stainless steel kitchen appliances & backsplash, and became dull and dirty again within a couple of days. Sticking with our non-Method brand til kinks are worked out.

Agree with everyone - I wanted to love this!

I have had great experiences with every other Method product I have tried except for this one. It doesn’t get rid of water streaks and I have had to use a harsh smelling professional spray after I use this to get my stainless steel really clean. Maybe this one can’t survive by green ingredients alone. Has anyone had better luck with the professional stainless steel cleaner?

I hoped it would work much better!

I really wanted this product to work because I hate the typical stainless cleaners that are greasy/oily and attract lint. While this product cleans it does nothing for the water marks that seem to plague the dishwasher in particular.

I would not recommend this product

I tried to go green but this did absolutely nothing and I don’t want to spend 15 minutes buffing just to get the streaks to go away. And the fingerprints are still there. No amount of scrubbing with this stuff works. I’m returning this stuff today.

not worth it

Found this product on clearance at my local Albertson’s and now I know why. Left more streaks on my appliances than there was before using this product. Can I get a refund

Wanted to love this product!

i use all the other method cleaners so i was excited about this one but I was so disappointed in how awful it streaked. i tried buffing (and buffing) but the streaks would not budge. I had to go back to my old cleaner – and it took 2 applications of my old stuff to make the Method streaks to disappear!

Love it!

I think this works great on stainless steel. But I don’t use it with microfiber towels. I use it with polyester resusable HandiWipes.

Get’s my stainless steel garbage can so clean and smelling so good that my outside cat comes in and licks the can to get the “good smell”….

Anything natural enough the cat likes it, is ok by me.

Good shine after some elbow grease

I love the look of stainless steel appliances but what a pain to keep clean. We use this product but you’ve really got to buff it up to get a good shine. I think it’s just the plight of stainless steel but having little kids grimy fingerprints are a way of life for right now & this product does clean & smells great.

It helps me enjoy the final step of cleaning the kitchen.

Polishing the stainless is like polishing up the jewelry. It’s always the last step and I love the smell. I dilute it down slightly and it works just as well.

Works great, needs buffing

Yummi-est smelling ever! This really cleaned my Refrigerator when everything else was greasy and didn’t cut through dirt and grim. All you need as to spray and scrub. I too agree about the streaking, but I found if you keep buffing until it completely dry and go in the direction of the grain, it turns out great! I also do not notice any finger prints.

A definite buy!

Great. non-greasy formula

We just moved into a new home, complete with all-stainless-steel appliances & were thrilled to discover this product. It was the first Method product we bought, actually. We had tried other stainless steel products in the past, but they all leave a greasy film, even though they are meant to ‘clean’. This actually leaves the stainless steel looking & feeling clean. You can’t avoid fingerprints on stainless steel, but this product gets them off easily & works beautifully. We ran out & bought a bunch of other Method products immediately

Not my fave...

Just moved into a home with all stainless appliances (note to self: never remodel a kitchen and put in stainless steel appliances…what a *pain*). While it does clean them, they are still very streaked even when using the Method stainless microfiber cloth and buffing off with a clean microfiber. Maybe SS appliances are just inherently impossible to keep streak-free.
