It Does Work Fine

I don’t know why there are all these negative reviews. I guess I was either incredibly lucky or they have redesigned the nozzle. I have been using it for several months and have never had a problem. The only thing that I do consistently is switch the nozzle back to off every time I use it.

Pump issues

I love the concept of this product, but it’s really concerning to me that there are reviews going back over 2 years complaining about issues with the pumps and this product is still on the shelf doing the same thing. I had never seen this product before. I quit using fabric softener when my kids were babies and we were cloth diapering. However we’re a few years past that now and I’d had enough of the static this winter so I took a stroll through my local Target and discovered this product, hurried home to do a load of wash and went to spry it and… Nothing. So I returned it and bought another. It worked like a champ . I made it though 8 loads or so and now…. Nothing. I feel like this should have gotten fixed Method as I’m clearly not the first to experience this. The product itself doesn’t completely eliminate static but it helps for sure and I enjoyed the scent. I hope they can get the packaging to work.

Oh so much static!

I love the idea of this product! A plant based fabric softener that creates no garbage, awesome! However, it does nothing for static, the smell does not last past the laundry room and after further research I am a little concerned about a few ingredients with bad scores on the Skin Deep database. I won’t be buying it again.

Try the Fresh Air

We’ve been using the Dryer Spray for a while now. I am sensitive to smells so we have always picked up the Fresh Air scent. 3 bottles and we never experienced the clogging everyone complains about. Last purchase though, our local store was out of it so we got Sunset Breeze. Now, after 4 uses, the clogging started and is now completely clogged up. If you haven’t tried the Fresh Air, try it. I’m interested to know now if perhaps its something in the scents that is the culprit.

Bring back the dryer sheets! The pump spray smells nice, but it does NOTHING for static. I would rather have neutral-smelling static free clothes that great smelling clothes full of static electricity! Your CUSTOMERS HAVE SPOKEN, consumer demand is there!

DOES NOT REDUCE STATIC…AT ALL.

After I couldn’t find method dryer sheets, I thought I would try this. It softens the clothes enough and gives them a fresh smell, however, it does NOT reduce static at all. I use the number of sprays recommended and I even put in part of my wet load into the dryer and spray, then put in more clothes and spray, and so on. I thought I was getting static because I only sprayed into the dryer after I had already put the clothes in but even after spraying several squirts and putting more clothes into the dryer(thinking it would distribute the product more evenly) I still had a TON of static. I gave this two stars because it does soften and make the clothes smell nice but this should be labeled as a “SOFTENER” only. Also, what good is a product when you feel you have to use twice as much as it says you need to in order for it to work? I HATE this stuff but I haven’t got much of a choice of things to switch to. BRING BACK DRYER SHEETS!

No problems with the bottle for me!

I’ve never had a problem with the pump, and I’m on my 6th or 7th bottle. Not sure what the problem is. I’m sure I would have encountered a faulty bottle by now. All mine work like a dream, smell great, clothes are way softer and works better than downy unstopables as far as long lasting scent. I spray 4 sprays on the wet clothes as directed and then when the clothes are dry I open the dryer and spray one or two more sprays and fluff the clothes for 1 minute. This last step makes the clothes extra soft and the smell last so much longer and smells much for fresh than the chemically smell of the downy unstopables or purex crystals. Love it!

For all you people having trouble with the sprayer. If you turn it to “OFF” when you are done for the day it will not clog! Also, once a month take the sprayer off and run hot water through it. Love this, so much better then dryer sheets!

Great Softner, Crappy Pump

The stars are for what is inside the bottle. My clothes come out soft and smelling great. I had to buy two bottles because the spray pump didn’t work on the first one. Packaging problems aside, this product allows me to regulate exactly how much softer I want based on the size load I am drying. Brilliant! I have found that the Method laundry detergent and softner pump bottles don’t always work either.my above to method is to get their packing under control.

Clogs

There is something about the liquid that causes the bottle to clog. We tried buying two bottles and both clogged. We then poured the liquid into a generic spray bottle and that clogged as well. It works well, when it squirts. This needs to be fixed before we buy it again.

Really would rate this zero stars. Bought this on the recommendation of a friend who swears by this stuff. Have a teenage football player and his clothes smell AWFUL after practice/games. Sprayer worked for one load of laundry – that’s it. Great concept, smelled great, but what good is it if I have to put in another bottle? Emailed for a refund or replacement – has anyone else received + feedback from Method?

Haven’t had any problems at all. Shake well before using. I use four sprays, but I don’t spray all in the same place. I spray four different areas, and I don’t have any problems. I am so tired of buying dryer sheets, but they are far superior to this product. Unfortunately, the liquid clogs the bottle after the third use or so. Even after transferring to a different spray bottle, we have the same problem. Extremely poor product testing & quality control on Method’s part.

DO NOT BUY!

I’d give this no stars if it would let me. I wish I’d read the reviews of this product before I bought this. I thought I had a bottle with a broken sprayer, so I bought a 2nd bottle thinking I’d just keep refilling the new bottle with the liquid from the “broken” one. Only after forking out $8.00 more did I find out it’s not the bottle. I purchased a clean, empty spray bottle and poured some in it and that one clogged up and won’t work either. This stuff clogs up sprayers like cement. No amount of soaking in hot water knocks it loose… which makes me wonder how environmentally wonderful it can be. So now I’m out about $20 and have 24.4 ounces of spray and 3 broken sprayers. I am NOT HAPPY and it makes me not want to try any new Method products.

Great Product, Failed Pump

I recently purchased this product and was very happy with it until I used it 3 times and then the pump failed miserably. I wish I had read the product reviews before buying as most of the reviews from other customers mention something about pump malfunction. This is very unfair to the consumer. I have recently switched most of my household products to method but am very disapointed by this. I guess I could use the remainder of the product in the wash like a regular softener. It would be a crying shame not to enjoy the lovely product because of the MAJOR MALFUNCTION OF THE PACKAGE DESIGN.Hopefully method can get it together and fix this problem or bring back the lovely dryer sheets I have tryed in the past. You cant call it “METHOD” IF THE “METHOD” CLEARLY FAILS

Great Product, bad package...

Love this spray as an option for a fabric softener. So many nice things to say, it smells good (although I would prefer the lemonade scent that comes in the Mickey hand soap!) It works well. But again, the pump. I’ve bought two separate bottles now and both have the same problem. My question is this; what about a better built bottle and spray nozzle, and large refills like the Method laundry detergent. I would be over the moon for a refillable Method Laundry set for both laundry detergent and fabric softener out of aluminum or stainless steel, make it dishwasher safe for cleaning and with a good sprayer and I’d be giving them as gifts endlessly. The plastics are fine, but long term re-usability is not great. And the pumps/sprayers don’t last. Love the product, but please, make a better solution for delivery.

If I could get it out of the bottle...

The dryer-activated fabric softener seems like a great idea: no dryer sheets to throw away, no adding fabric softener to the wash. If only I could get the pump to actually spray. The fabric softener seems to have little crystals or grains in it that clog the pump. The pump clogged without getting a single spray of fabric softener out. I unclogged the pump with water only to have it immediately clog again, and I even tried a new spray bottle, which also became clogged. I ended up having to unscrew the cap and shake the fabric softener all over my laundry (and ended up dripping down my hands as well). I used about 1/3 of the bottle before breaking down and going out to buy regular fabric softener. I would not buy this product again unless there is a major package redesign.

Won't be buying...

I love Method dryer sheets, as they were the only ones I could use due to sever allergic reaction to every other one on the market I have used. In the interest of minimizing my impact on landfills, I reused them several times successfully. This new product I will not try….spray a liquid on my clothing?!? Maybe for people without allergies. But let me share with you all…I didn’t always have skin allergies. My dermatologist informed me about how I developed them: from years of exposure to the perfumes and chemicals in the fabric softeners I was using, thereby creating the allergy over time. Now I have to be extremely careful the detergents, softeners, even lotions I use. Please bring back the Naked Sheets!!!

I love the smell of this product, but the formula is too thick and the spray mechanism is too weak. The liquid clogs up the nozzle and I can’t use this new product, such a waste of money.

Method should pull this product off shelves until they figure out a better formula. But since they are a business…they will leave this product on shelves allowing people to waste money, while they take their sweet time fixing the defects of this product.

Great concept Method, but you let being one of the first dry-activated fabric softener sprays on the market, outweigh the fact that the product doesn’t work.

We purchased this fabric softener because a) we love the method brand and b) our dog has a tendency to eat dryer sheets for some unknown reason. The fabric softener is amazing–great smell and no dryer sheet. The only real downside to this product is the bottle/pump. I’ll spray twice and the pump locks up or, like now, won’t work at all.
