october is breast cancer awareness month. as folks who make soap, we’re doing our part in the best way we know how – by showing our support and advocating for healthy lifestyles. we contribute to healthy living with non-toxic products that are free of dirty ingredients like parabens, phlalates and triclosan.
one such product is our DESIGNED FOR GOOD hand wash. this month, we hope people will join us in promoting breast cancer awareness by committing to “pink your sink” with one of these limited edition soaps. it’s a small gesture, but one we think can go a long way.
to coincide with these efforts, we’re also making a $10,000 donation to breast cancer affiliated organizations. but there are so many wonderful non-profits doing great work – raising awareness, promoting prevention, providing support and more – it was hard to choose just one. and, of course, bigger isn’t always better. there are plenty of dedicated, community-based breast cancer organizations we might not even know about. so who’s it going to be?
well, that’s up to you.
we put the challenge to our facebook friends, asking you to tell us about worthy breast cancer affiliated organizations that have touched your lives and why they deserve a $2500 donation. the ten nominations receiving the highest number of votes will advance to the judging stage where four organizations will be chosen to each receive $2,500. to top it off, the top ten nominators will receive a bundle of pink products to say thank you.
get over to facebook to nominate and vote. let’s stick it to breast cancer.
our “pink your sink” limited edition hand wash is available now through the spring in the US and Canada.
