he went to…method

as method’s resident consumer response lady, I get to read lots of interesting emails from our people against dirty. this one, however, was a little out of the ordinary:
Hello method,
Is it possible to tour your main office in San Francisco? My girlfriend, Courtney, is in love with your company almost as much as she loves me. I’d like to propose to her at method. Is this something that you allow or would it scare you? Hope you all are doing well and here’s to your continued success creating unique cleaning products.
Regards,
Michael Stroup
scared? I think not. while most companies would have politely declined, we responded with an enthusiastic “yes!,” and began planning for our very first method marriage proposal. if we were going to do this, we would go all the way—mini cupcakes, champagne and hand wash bottles in the shape of a heart.

as soon as word got around the office that we would be hosting our first proposal, everyone pitched in to make it special for michael and courtney.

at the end of their tour, with all of us gathered in the lobby, michael fearlessly got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.

we cheered (maybe a few of us even cried a little), popped the champagne and toasted to our first PAD couple. don’t you just love love?

a big thanks to michael stroup and courtney patterson for letting us share in their big moment. we wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
