hilary’s official title is zookeeper, which vaguely speaks to her superhuman ability to keep our CEO and two wily co-founders organized. but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. what she actually does is keep all of method running smoothly, from planning events to performing amazing feats of organization like they ain’t no thang. on top of that, she’s a master of collaboration and has a killer sense of humor. it’s no wonder she’s our newest employee of the month.
you keep this place afloat. it’s about time you won. how did it feel?
one part surprising, two parts embarrassing, and a whole lot of amazing.
you have a reputation around here as being something of an epic character at parties. do you think that contributed to your win?
it’s possible that my alter-ego, frank, may have played a small part in swaying the votes, but I’m betting the installation of our new fro-yo machine had more to do with it.
what are your plans for your reigning month? I’m not sure if the employee of the month can instate rules, but if you could, is there anything you’d like to put into effect?
I’m definitely planning to wear the cape and crown as much as possible. I mean, how often does one really get to do that? and rules? no rules, please. just keep the dirty dishes out of the kitchen sink…or else. (editor’s note: seriously, guys, we work at a cleaning company. let’s get it together.)
the Vault of Edible Riches is usually rife with sugary treats, but you’re on sort of a health kick. is it true that yours contains boiled eggs and canned tuna? please say there are a few more palatable items to choose from.
indeed, it does! I’m off the sweet stuff these days, but there’s some pretty fancy sugar-free gum in there that will knock your socks off.
I’ll take your word for it. so, what’s the best part of your job?
hands down, best part of the job is getting to work with such an amazing and talented group of people at a company where being yourself (a.k.a. weird) is one hundred percent encouraged.
