employee of the month 1

posted September 8, 2011 by alexis |

good work surely doesn’t go unnoticed around here, but sometimes someone goes so far above and beyond the call of duty that it’s cause for celebration. and because we don’t do anything half-assed, our new employee of the month honor involves a whole lot more than a plaque.

in fact, it comes complete with the Crown and Robe of Distinction, Golden Trophy of Greatness, Mug of Magnificence, exclusive access to the Vault of Edible Riches, a personalized Perk of Significance and reserved bike parking. read on for an interview with our very first employee of the month, our lovely green chef (aka: chemical engineer) geetha. she’s earned it!

so, geetha, how do you feel about being the reigning queen of the office for the month?

i’m honored…and a little embarrassed by all the attention. but it feels like a gift from everyone. it means a lot.

do you have any plans to celebrate?

well my Perk of Significance was a trip to Costanoa. that’s a pretty great way to celebrate.

okay, tell us what we really want to know. what’s in the Vault of Edible Riches? and do you take bribes?

there’s so much. old-fashioned candies, fancy chocolates and my personal favorite, ginger chews. bribes? hmmm, I’ll have to hear them out. they could be interesting.

you lucky thing. do you have any tips on how one might become the next employee of the month?

remember that none of us work alone. if you have an idea but it seems too tough to figure out, give it a shot and engage the awesome PAD around you to get your thoughts flowing! those PAD, they’re pretty smart folks. it also helps to have a good attitude.

any guesses on who the next lucky recipient might be?

it’s hard to guess when there are so many hard workers here.

very diplomatic. so, besides receiving this honor, what’s the best part about working at method?

you get to be yourself and work with others who share your passion.

do you plan on adding any special touches to the Golden Trophy of Greatness while you have it?

definitely. but it’s a surprise.
